Max Nungesser is a self-taught artist and collaborator born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His body of work ranges from abstract paintings he created with his former students to large-scale public murals such as Drowning (2016). Since Max began painting with fervor during his early high-school years, the style in which he paints has evolved quite rapidly over time and so has the scale of his pieces as he prefers to paint much larger nowadays. Max grew up in an energetic household full of vibrant colors and intricate Mexican and Indian artwork, which he credits as a major influence on his style of work. Through organic shapes, vivid colors and meticulous patterns, Max continues to explore the human condition.
